the Yard
Comes hopping
The scrub jay in his breakfast coat,
Precisely pecking beads of dew
From erect blades of grass.
Like eating soup with chopsticks. |

Sometime watch the fancy bees
In their chenille jackets of black and gold,
Bobbing over wide-mouth tangerine poppies,
Being swallowed whole,
Both consuming each other. |
